  We know that there are many types of connector products, and each connector has its specific parameters. There are also some connectors whose conventional parameters are called differently. The following is the general name of the 7 connector conventional parameters introduced by the editor;

  1. Insulation resistance: mainly understood as the resistance value that the insulator between the two terminals on the connector can withstand.

  2. Insertion force: mainly refers to the force required for the lead of the male end of the connector to be inserted into the female end of the connector.

  3. Polarity: mainly refers to the arrangement of connector terminals and leads, which prohibit unsuitable coupling of plugs and sockets.

  4. Surface electroplating: mainly refers to the surface electroplating of tin, gold and bromine in the connecting hardware part of the connector.

  5. Spacing: Mainly refers to the center distance between two horizontally adjacent plug points in the plug part of the connector product, and the common unit is millimeters.

  6. Hardware material: It mainly refers to the material used in the metal part of the connector. The performance of the hardware material determines the elastic performance of the connector contacts and is a key factor in the quality of the connector.

  7. Soldering conditions: General connector products will be soldered to the circuit board for use. With the improvement and popularization of wave soldering technology, higher requirements have been placed on the soldering performance of the connector.

  In the internal interconnection parts of electronic products, the application of electronic connectors is essential. It is usually distinguished by appearance form and connection mode, such as: board-to-board, wire-to-board, wire-to-wire, etc.

   The 6 common connection methods are as follows:

   Discrete wire Use a single wire or cable to connect the riveted terminal with the rubber shell combination.

   Twisted pair cable A cable composed of two small insulated wires twisted together and covered with a sheath. The two wires are usually well insulated. Both ordinary telephone cables and household wires are twisted pairs.

   Coaxial cable It consists of a smaller diameter copper wire (inner conductor) coaxially placed in a larger diameter outer conductor, the two are separated and supported by a dielectric body, and their outermost is wrapped with insulating material.

   Ribbon cable is called a flat cable (flat cable), which is composed of a group of parallel conductors covered with insulating material as a whole. There are two types of conductors, one is a circular cross-section conductor, and the other is a flat flexible cable.

   printed circuit board pcb is processed by etching on the copper clad polymer board, and then printed on the circuit.

   Flat flexible cable (ffc/fpc) It is similar to a ribbon cable, but the conductor is flat and non-circular, and the conductor cross-section is rectangular and extremely thin.
